1. What is
LogOn?
LogOn is a prepaid Internet card.
It is the fast, easy and convenient way to access the Internet by
dial-up on a pay-as-you-use basis. LogOn is a product of PINET
Informatics Limited

What makes LogOn different from the normal dial-up Internet accounts?
LogOn is different because it is
in a card form and as such offers the advantages that come with this
mode. These include minimal entry cost, widespread availability
through dealers in most areas, and the ease of renewal of subscription
through refill cards.

3. How do I use
LogOn?
There are two processes.
How to
sign up (Directly from your PC)
Set up your dial up networking
with the following parameters:
After connecting, open your
browser and enter http://logon.pinet.com.ng
This would take you to our
Web
Registration Centre.
ALTERNATIVELY
Go to the website of PINET
Informatics Limited
www.pinet.com.ng/logon. You can get to the website from an
existing Internet access point such as a cybercafé or an office/home
with Internet connection.
On the site, click on “Sign Up
(Activation)” and then complete the required online form.
It is while filling the online
form that you would be required to supply the PIN and Password at
the back of the LogOn card. You would also have the opportunity to
choose the ID (Username) and password you would be using to connect
to the Internet.
Setting
up Dial up Networking
Set up Dial up Networking using
the ID (Username) and password you chose while signing up online.
The access telephone numbers are: 2600878, 2645009, 2631499 (If
outside Lagos, prefix with 01.).
4. How long
can I use my LogOn card?
You may use the card for as long
as it has remaining credit balance, and within the validity period.

5.
How long is the validity period?
Your card is valid for 90 days
from the date of first use. This means you can use one card for 90
days so long as you still have credit on it. You must however refill
before the expiration of this period, else your user name and password
would by deleted and made available for other new users to pick.
6.
What happens if I do not exhaust my credit before the validity period?
You are required to recharge on or
before the validity expiration date. Credits may not be carried over
from one validity period to another.
7.
What are the available denominations of LogOn cards?
Presently there is only one
denomination of LogOn cards, the N5,000 denomination. Lower and higher
denominations would later be introduced.

Where can I buy LogOn cards?
LogOn cards would be available at
retail outlets in most localities. For specific details please visit

9.
How do I refill my account?
Just buy a new refill LogOn card,
scratch off the silver panels at the back to reveal the PIN and
Password, go to
www.pinet.com.ng/logon and click on “Web Self Care”, then enter
your Username and Password. At the Web Self Care, click on “refill
account”. Then enter your card’s PIN (prepaid card identifier) and
password. Your account would automatically be credited with the value
of the card you loaded.

What is the tariff for LogOn?
10 (Ten) Naira per minute.
11. What is
the set up fee?
Set up fee is the once-and-for-all
charge at the inception of the account. It is paid for with the first
N5,000 prepaid card used for the account. It comes with a
complementary connect time worth N1,000.

Does LogOn come with an email account?
It comes with free web-based email
account at
www.pinetmail.com. You may pick as many email accounts here as you
want. A POP email account attracts a fee.
13.
How much does a POP email account cost?
N5000 per annum per account. You
can subscribe to as many POP accounts as you want.
14.
Can I use LogOn cards at Internet cafes?
No. LogOn is for dial-up Internet
access and not a cybercafé prepaid Internet slip. A computer and
telephone is required to use LogOn.

15.
Whom do I contact if I need assistance in setting up my computer to
use LogOn?
Generally most computer users
would be able to set up their systems to use LogOn by following the
instruction. If however you need assistance please consult your
computer dealer.
16.
Does LogOn come with technical support?
Support by telephone is free. If
absolutely necessary for our engineers to visit a subscriber’s home or
office, we charge N5,000 per visit.
17.
How do I know what my balance is?
You can check your balance online
by going to Web Self Care
www.pinet.com.ng/logon.
18.
Can I change my personal information, like address and telephone
number?
YES. Just go to
www.pinet.com.ng/logon and update your personal information.
19.
Can I change my password on the server myself? If so how often?
You can, as often as you want from
